|
The project addresses the need to develop and
reform teaching human rights courses in post-Communist countries, as well as
courses in philosophy, legal and political theory, dealing with human rights
issues. It will strive to develop teaching and analytical skills of those
involved in teaching legal subjects in the region, to deepen and broaden
their understanding of philosophical and methodological foundations of human
rights theory. It will help them to master research methodology, train them
in course design, interactive teaching methods and integration of research
and teaching. By developing and maintaining an academic network of those
involved in the project and other younger faculty teaching human
rights-related courses, the project will attempt to provide joint effort and
mutual support for reform-minded university teachers and positively influence
the existing academic practices in the field. |
