The public council was set up according to the Charter of the University (Art. 7.2) and the decision of the Conference of the labor collective at Franko LNU from 05.17.2016. The public council carries out public control over the implementation of decisions of the Conference of the labor collective of the University. It is governed by the current laws of Ukraine, orders and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Regulations on the public council, the Charter of Franko University as well as the decisions of the Conference of the labor collective. The public council is based on the principles of openness, equality, decency, morality, impartiality and professionalism, on a voluntary basis.
The Public Council is an organ of the Conference of the labor collective of University which is run by nine people within a year.

Manko Volodymyr Vasylovych – the Head of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology, Professor – Chairman of the Board.
Bek Yulian Buhuslavovych – Associate Professor of Civil Law and Procedure, Deputy Chairman of primary trade union organization of the University workers – Deputy Chairman of the Board.
Kolodiy Myroslava Olehivna – the Head of the reserve-exchange fund of LNU scientific library – Secretary of the Board.
Banakh Taras Onufrijovych – The Head of geometry and topology, Professor.
Paslavska Alla Yosypivna – the Head of the Department of Intercultural Communication and Translation studies, Professor.
Korchak Yuriy Mykhailovych – the Deputy Director of the Institute for Postgraduate Education and Pre-University Training, assistant professor of optoelectronics and information technology.
Burak Volodymyr Yaroslavovych – Associate Professor of Social Rights, Legal Adviser of primary trade union organization of the University workers.
Pekun Yana Vitaliivna – first year undergraduate of the faculty of Geography, Head of the Student Government at Ivan Franko LNU.
Vasylets Yulia Ihorivna – first year undergraduate of the faculty of Philology
