IEEE YOUNG SCIENTISTS FORUM BEGINS AT UNIVERSITY SCIENTIFIC LIBRARY

On October 17, 2017, IEEE Young Scientists Forum on Applied Physics and Engineering (YSF-2017) began its work at the scientific library of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

The forum that has gathered more than 150 young scientists from Europe, Asia, Africa and North America is open for everyone who is interested in the following fields: biomedical physics, optics and photonics, electromagnetic theory, microwave and terahertz electronics, geophysics and remote sensing, solid state physics, astronomy and astrophysics, power electronics, nuclear and plasma physics, information systems and non-destructive testing, etc.

The participants of the Forum were welcomed by Gregory Quarles, Chief Scientist at The Optical Society (USA), Tomy Sebastian, President of the IEEE Industry Applications Society (USA), Zinoviy Nazarchuk, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Chairperson of the Western Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Head of the Karpenko Physico-Mechanical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Yuriy Plevachuk, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Head of the Research and Development Department of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

The program includes seven plenary lectures from the leading world scholars, as well as a range of fascinating sectional lectures, workshops and discussions.
