Information on the thesis

This research focuses on the current state and ways to improve the socio-economic
efficiency of cross-border cooperation of Ukraine in terms of European integration.
The aims, functions and importance of cross-border cooperation in the socio-economic
development of border regions are defined. The regulatory framework, organizational and
financial support of cross-border cooperation of Ukraine in terms of European integration
are examined, and strategic EU approach to the implementation of cross-border cooperation
with Ukraine is analyzed. The existing methodological approaches to assess cross-border
cooperation  are  systematized  and  summarized,  and  the  concept  of  its  socio-economic
efficiency is formulated.
The  method  of  evaluating  the  state  of  socio-economic  efficiency  of  cross-border
cooperation by econometric study of basic indicators of socio-economic development is
proposed. The current state and characteristics of socio-economic efficiency of cross-border
cooperation between Ukraine and EU member states on the example of Ukrainian-Polish
and Polish-German cross-border regions are analyzed.
The  main  directions  of  improving  socio-economic  efficiency  of  cross-border
cooperation of Ukraine are defined. The prospects of the formation of cross-border clusters
and industrial parks in Ukraine are examined. The new directions to improve information
support of cross-border cooperation of Ukraine are proposed.
