Information on the thesis

The theoretical and methodological problems of highly effective agrarian entrepreneurship
formation in Ukraine carried out on the basis of innovation have been researched. The stages of
its formation have been ascertained. The structure of agrarian entrepreneurship has been studied.
The advantages and weaknesses of large and small forms of management have been
substantiated.
The place of innovations in the system of agrarian entrepreneurship, their role in providing
highly effective competitive, export-oriented agricultural production, economic progress,
strengthening of the country’s defense capability and implementation of the national idea have
been determined. The concept-categorical apparatus of innovative agrarian enterprise research
have been described.
The directions of agrarian entrepreneurship innovative development have been analyzed
taking into account the dynamics of functioning the national and world agricultural products’
markets. Three modern strategic directions of innovative activity in the agrarian sector have been 21
outlined – traditional production, organic production and production using the genetic industry,
as well as potential possibilities of traditional production. The innovative potential of agrarian
entrepreneurship in our country has been estimated. The changes in the formation of agrarian
innovation potential in the transformation period have been revealed, its quantity, qualitative
indicators and the optimal mechanism of use have been also analyzed. In innovative agrarian
entrepreneurship, unlike traditional, the main resources are not land and capital, but intelligence,
science, and entrepreneurial skills.
The efficiency of innovation and investment activity of agrarian entrepreneurship and
source of funds for innovative needs have been analyzed. The method of economic innovations’
efficiency in agrarian business through the indicator (coefficient) innovation with the use of
taxonomic analysis method has been proposed. On the basis of this, the conclusion has been
drawn about the attractiveness of the Ukrainian agrarian sector for investment.
The ways of increasing the efficiency in state support for innovative development of
agrarian entrepreneurship in Ukraine, as well as the determining the role of the state in
implementing innovative transformations in the agrarian sector have been explored. The
technical and technological direction providing innovative agrarian entrepreneurship and the
leading tendency to integrated support of innovative processes in the form of clusters has been
singled out. An improved institutional model of innovative progress in the agrarian economy has
been studied. The urgency of management mechanism formation in innovative processes at the
level of local territorial communities has been investigated.
