INDUCTION BY X-RAY OF X-CHROMOSOME GENES MUTABILITY IN
LOZENGE STRAINS OF DROSOPHILA MELANOGASTER

It was shown that induced by X-rays mutations in Drosophila melanogaster lozenge strains appear with high frequence both in generative and somatic cells during several generations. The unstable genes could be the markers of influence of irradiation at low doses. The mutational actions had high locus specificity. Mutations occurred mainly in the unstable loci which contained incertions of mobile genetic elements.
