GENETIC UNSTABILITY OF DROSOPHILA MELANOGASTER LOZENGE STRAINS Bobak Ya., Chernyk Ya. Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Hrushevskyi st.4,UA-79005 Lviv, Ukraine The high locusspecificity of the mutational events was noticed. In the investigation of generative mutants and somatic mosaics of the all lozenge strains. Mutations occurred mainly in the instable loci which contained incertions of mobile genetic elements. The main part of mutants were different alleles states of gene lozenge. It was shown by the method of complementative analysis that all studied alleles lz were the same groupe of complementation, namely all mutative events occurred in the same sublocus glossy. Increacing of mutation level of gene lozenge under the change of genetic surraunding was noticed. The appearance of the somatic mosaics was mainly related to the mutations in sn gene and more rare in sc and lz genes; usually mosaics were obtained in strains with sn+ allele.
