COMPARATIVE CHARACTER OF K+, Na+ AND Ca++ CONTENT IN THE LEAVES OF DIFFERENT SPECIES OF ALOE AND AGAVE GENERA L.Margitay, O.Terek Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Hrushevskyi st.4,UA-79005 Lviv, Ukraine e-mail: biofr@franko.lviv.ua We have investigated the content of Na +, Ca++ K+ in the leaves of twelve species of Aloe genus: Aloe 5 delaetii Radl.; Al. saponaria Haw.; Al. mitriformis Mill.; Al. striata Haw.; Al. camperi Schweinf.; Al. ciliaris Haw.; Al. arborescens Mill.; Al. barbadensis Mill.; Al. aristata Haw.; Al. humilis (L.) Mill.; Al. variegata L., Al. reitzii Reyn. and four species of Agave genus: Agave ferox C. Koch; A.americana L.; A. attenuata Salm; A. heteracantha Bgr. Differences, indicating on a genetic individuality of each species were found. Key words: Aloe and Agava genera, potassium, sodium, calcium.
