Data analysis of the hydrochemical regime of the Western Ukraine region reservoirs shows that according to the majority of indicators water pollution was decreased, but according to every separate indicator some unsignificant changes occured. They didn`t have any effect on the improvement of water quality. That's why the existence of potential danger of considerable reservoir contamination becomes evident. Buffer capacity of the freshwater ecosystems is limited. The main pollutants are nitrogen-capacious compounds and heavy metals. Pollution is caused by continuous action of different factors, combined influence of which isn`t predictable.
