The Lapwing became the common breeder in the Nervegien to the north and in Italy, Greece and Makedonia to the south in western Europe. This species widened it's breeding area more than to 600 to the north, over the Polar circle, in the western Siberia. Lapwings start breeding on the places in the Lena-river basin, 250-300 kilometres far from their main area. This species is breeding now along the whole Amur lowland in the Far East. It reached the coast of the Okhotske and Japan seas and Taiwan Island. Those changes in the breeding area may be caused by the Global Growth of Temperature, environmental changes and intensive agriculture. Some new breeding areas appeared occasionally since the area widened due to the natural causes (vagrants brought by the wind, storm etc).

Key words: area, breeding, distribution, expansion, Lapwing.
