       Present status and prospects of intensive breeding of species of the Cervinae subfamily, viz. red deer (Cervus elaphus Linne, 1758) and fallow-deer (Dama dama Linne, 1758), are described on the base of literature data and materials that were collected during scientifical journeys to the foreign countries.
