CHARACTERISTICS OF STRUCTURE AND VITALITY OF
SMALL POPULATIONS OF RARE AND ENDEMIC PLANT
SPECIES IN THE CARPATHIAN MOUNTAINS

Analysis of populations and life stories allowed to reveal the characteristics of
small population of some` rare and endemic plant species in the Ukrainian Carpathians
(Leontopodium alpinum, Primula halleri, Saussurea alpina, Ranunculus tatrae, Dryas
octopetala, Erigeron alpinus, Heracleum carpaticum, Oreochloa disticha, Doronicum
clusii, Elisanthe zawadskii, Ptarmica tenuifolia, Campanula serrata, Gentiana acaulis,
Senecio carpaticus). Results of study of intra- and interpopulation diversity under different
natural and antropogenic factors as well as vitality are presented.
