Bohdan Kul'chyc'kyj

Островерх Петро ІвановичDoctor of Economic Sciences, Doctor of Political Economy at Free Ukrainian University (Munich, Germany), professor.
In 1982 graduated with honors from economics faculty of Lviv University. During 1982-1995 - lecturer at social sciences department of Lviv Musical Academy named after M. Lysenko (courses taught: political economy and philosophy). Throughout 1991-1995 - Academy's scientific secretary. In 1988 defended candidate dissertation "Wage and Economic Basis of its Differentiation". Starting from 1993 worked as an associate professor. For the period of 1994-1996 participated in International economic summer seminars "Intereco" (Truskavets'), arranged in collaboration by universities of Lviv (Ukraine), Wayne (USA) and Templ (USA). During 1995-2000 - associate professor of Ukrainian Economy Department, 2000-2001 - associate professor of Sociology Department of Lviv University Economic Faculty.
Within international project " Development of MA Programmes in Sociology and Culture" at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and with a support from Open Society Institute (Budapest) Bohdan Kul'chyc'kyj prepared course for MA Students "Economic Sociology" (2001).
During 1999-2000 - researcher at the Free Ukrainian University (Munich, Germany), where in summer 2000 defended doctoral dissertation: "Human Activity in Conditions of Social Progress". During 2001-2004 - researcher at the Economic Theory Department at Economic Faculty of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. In 2004 defended doctoral dissertation: "Typologization and Comparison of Economic Society Systems (theory problems and methodology)". Starting from January 2005 - professor of Economic Theory Department at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
Professor Bohdan Kul'chyc'kyj wrote more then a hundred works, including individual monograph "Economic Society Systems: Theory, Methodology, and Typologization" (Lviv, 2003) and textbook "Contemporary Economic Systems" (Lviv, 2004; (Recommended by Ukrainian Ministry of Science and Education)), co-author of collective monograph "Macroeconomic Problems of Ukrainian Economic System Development" (Lviv, 2004) and textbook "Macroeconomic Theory" (Lviv, 2005).
Teaches courses: "Basics of Economic Theory", "Economic History", "History of Economic Teaching", "Ukrainian Economy", "Economic Sociology", "Social Philosophy" and "Contemporary Economic Systems".
Frame of interest: philosophy of economics, philosophical analysis of social and economic progress, economic culture, transformation of economic systems, postindustrial economy.
