International conference "World Agriculture in Globalized
Economy" September 25-28, 2003 Department of International
Economic Relations of The Ivan Franko National University of Lviv is holding
the international conference "World Agriculture in Globalized
Economy" during September 25-28, 2003. The conference is planned to
analyze the formation and development of international food markets. Main
reason of this conference is to bring together people interested in
agricultural economics and globalization of agriculture. Papers in all areas
of economics and finance with applications to agriculture are solicited.
Topics include, but are not limited to: ·
Food Research Studies: Past, Present and Future; ·
WTO Regulations and World Agriculture Markets; ·
Multinational Cooperation and World Agriculture; ·
Environmental Implications of the Global Economy; ·
Agricultural Problems of Ukrainian Integration to
EU. Every participant of the Conference will have the opportunity to
give a short presentation, either during a poster session or in the form
of a fifteen-minute lecture. A formal call for such presentations will be
issued in the Second Announcement. English and Ukrainian are the
official languages of the Conference. Papers presented to the Conference will
be considerate for publication. For more information and submission of
abstracts (approximately 200 words) or full papers e-mail to: ihor_hrabynskyi@franko.lviv.ua Participants
will be accommodated in a variety of hotels in Lviv; necessary reservations
should be made by participants. Detailed information will be provided in
the Second Announcement. The Second Announcement will describe the activities
of the conference in more detail and give instructions on how to
complete the registration process and obtain accommodation. It will provide
more, although not complete, information on the scientific program,
contain a call for contributed short presentations, and give instructions
regarding the submission of abstracts and/or papers. The Second Announcement
will also include advice on how to proceed upon arrival at Lviv airport
