In Ukraine the academic year is divided into two semesters:

Fall semester: September – January

Spring semester: February – July

Structure of the academic year:

  1. Fall semester – 17 weeks (Sept.1 – Jan.28)
    Exam period: Jan. 5 – Jan.25
  2. Spring semester - 18 weeks (Feb.9 – June 30)
    Exam period: June, 10 – July, 4

The Ukrainian scale of grades conforms to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
