In a financial year in the Ivan Franko National
University of Lviv was carried out researches from the fundamental and applied
state budgets researches works within the framework 85 themes financed by the Ministry
of Science and Education of Ukraine to the amount of 6 529, 000 UAH.,
volume of economic agreements — 1 598, 000 UAH. Among faculties, which
concluded economic agreements on a handsome sum is the faculty of geography and
the faculty of history. 14 grants is got to the
amount of 1282, 440 UAH from other sources financing.
For current period the Ivan Franko National
University of Lviv has significant achievements in-process scientific. In

For current period the employees of University defended
11 Doctors and a 51 Candidate’s dissertation.
451 post-graduate students studied at the University;
343 of them – by correspondence.
Researches Workers of the University published
58 monographs, 37 textbooks, 94 trains aids,
17 series of announcers (visnyk), 5 series of collections of scientific works
(zbirnyk), 3491 articles, in foreign editions — 539.
68 scientific conferences were held at the Ivan
Franko National University of Lviv in 2007, among them 32 – of international
level.
Teachers, professors and scientific workers of the
University had prepared 3051 reports for the scientific conferences, among them
1445 – for summary scientific conference of the University staff.
In 2007 the investigation results were defended by
15 inventions and useful models, got 16 decisions about delivery of patents and
14 patents of
Doctor M. Mys’kiv (Faculty
of Chemistry) in composition an author collective became the laureate of state
bonus of
On the base of University a Second stage of the National
students Olympiads was conducted from educational discipline and profession of
“mathematics”.
On the Faculty of the applied mathematics and Informatics
a Second stage of the National student Olympiad was first conducted from
programming (Western region).
The Faculty of International relations and the
Faculty of philology were based from National competition of the students
advanced studies from directions the “Actual questions of collaboration with EC”
and “Sociolinguistics”.
In the Second stage of the National students Olympiad
took part 110 students, from them 12 - became the prizewinners of Olympiad.
20 students (two in the coauthor) became the
prizewinners of the Second stage of National competition of the students
advanced studies from natural, technical and humanitarian sciences.
At 137 scientific conferences 1207 students
pronounced the lectures. In scientific achievement of students are 297
scientific articles and 479 theses of lectures. At high level on initiative
students International Students scientific conferences are conducted on
faculties: biological, applied mathematics and informatics, physical,
electronics and economic, and the National Students scientific conferences on
faculties: international relations, philological, philosophical, journalisms, mechanics-mathematics.
