More than 100 scientists, mathematicians from 12 countries participated in the International Conference on Complex Analysis and Related Matters

More than 100 scientists from Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the USA, Turkey, Finland, India, Israel, Austria, Thailand and Russia are taking part in the International Conference “Complex Analysis and Related Matters”, which lasts from 30 May to 4 June 2016 in Lviv University. The organizers of the event are the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and Lviv Mathematical Society.

The opening ceremony of the Conference took place on May 30, 2016 in the Assembly Hall of the University. The participants were welcomed by the representatives of the Organizing Committee: Doctor of Sciences, Professor of the Theory of Functions and Probability Theory Oleg Skaskiv and Doctor of Sciences, Professor Igor Chyzhykov.

The Head of the Department of Theory of Functions and Probability Theory, Doctor of Sciences, Professor Myroslav Sheremeta mentioned the positive changes that have taken place in Lviv since the last conference on Complex Analysis. Doctor Sheremeta invited foreign participants to visit interesting places in Lviv and wished them fruitful work in the International Conference.

After opening ceremony the participants worked in sections. For six days they will discuss current issues in mathematics, particularly related to their interests: a comprehensive analysis of one variable; comprehensive analysis of multiple variables; comprehensive approximations etc.
