On 24-27 November 2018 Prof. Roderich Süssmuth of Biological Chemistry of the Technical University of Berlin visited Research Laboratory of Genetics, Selection and Genetic Engineering of Actinomycetes-Producers of Antibiotics (NDL-42) at the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
Prof. Roderich Süssmuth, a prominent specialist in the field of study of peptide compounds, namely antibiotics, whose researches are funded by a range of pharmaceutical world companies and are on the edge of chemistry, biology, and biotechnology.
The visit of the German professor was made possible thanks to the joint Ukrainian-German grant, which is funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on behalf of the Ukrainian side (scientific leader of the grant – Bogdan Ostash, the Head of the Department of Scientific Research of the University).
