On June 14, 2017, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv was visited by representatives of Versailles University: Vice President for International Affairs Professor Jan Born and Professor of Geography Frederick Lerici. The visit was arranged by the senior lecturer of the Department of Tourism of the Lviv University Yuri Zinko who took part in the Day of Tourism Education in Paris in September 2016.
During the visit, the representatives of the University of Versailles met with the Vice-Rector for Research, Teaching and International Cooperation Mariya Zubrytska and the Dean of the Faculty of Geography Volodymyr Bilanyuk. French guests also participated in the round table discussion devoted to tourism, hotel and geographic education.
In general, during the meeting the prospects of joint research in the area of global climate change, the possibility of cooperation between the Universities within the “Erasmus” Program and the implementation of joint masters programs were paid attention to. The parties also agreed to consider signing of cooperation agreements between Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the University of Versailles.
